The Downfalls Of A Recall Affymax $AFFY

Affymax Recalls Vaccine, Drops 85% $AFFY, $TKPYY

Affymax and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company just recalled one of their only successful vaccines on the market. The OMONTYS injection was FDA approved 11 months ago, but is now being recalled due to hypersensitivities and side effects to the drug. Some patients required immediate hospitalization due to the effects from the drug, there were also five deaths after injection. Unfortunately Affymax has no other medicines in the final stages of testing; OMONTYS was going to be their golden egg in the only basket they had. On Friday, $AFFY closed at $16.52, and Monday it is currently at $2.55, down 85%.
